Will growth hacking hurt my brand?

Your brand is also an important factor to take into consideration. In growth hacking we are often able to isolate a small part of your audience to run experiments with. And more often than not, this still follows the guidelines of your brand. Finally, we do not build crappy experiments that look like they’re held together by duct tape. This way, we minimize the negative impact experimentation could have on your brand.

Do I have to also involve my product team?

This is always optional. As explained above, the difference between growth hacking and growth marketing is in the involvement of the product team. If you prefer to focus on the marketing side of things, that’s completely fine.

Who is part of the growth hacking team?

A growth team generally has the roles: Growth Lead, Data Specialist, Designer, Content Specialist and Marketer. Depending on the scope of the growth team, we could also involve product roles, developers and other types of specialists. We can provide the entire team if necessary, but generally recommend mixing our team with yours. This ensures that learnings are spread through your organization.

Isn’t growth hacking just uncertain guesses?

With our projects we rate potential experiments on several factors, to increase the certainty that we’re doing the right thing. Also, we up the speed of experimentation quickly, so that it’s not too bad if some experiments do not work out. While a lot of experiments always end up being marginal or inconclusive, the amount of experiments we do will be sufficient to exponentially improve your customer journey.

How long does it take to see results?

After the data and strategy audit and setup we begin with the highest impact, highest certainty experiments. Taking the setup phase into account, this means the first results should be occurring after 2-3 weeks. The growth process is based on speed and exponential growth, so in time this growth will accelerate. We often hit our full speed during the second month.

We follow 3 steps in the growth hacking service. First we audit your tracking and strategy, second we build a backlog and roadmap of actions and experiments, finally we follow the Lean cycle of build, measure, learn to facilitate rapid experimentation.
